MY BRAIN RUNS TRAIN
For those of you that don’t know me, complex PTSD is something I live with and have a life long journey to heal from. Music has been the one thing that brings me back to feeling connected to something. Gives me peace. Allows me to express myself. But also forces vulnerability. It’s every emotion I struggle to articulate day to day. I played a show in Atlin at the Globe theatre. Low lights. Candles. A piano. Raw emotion. There are laughs. Tears. But more importantly: connection. One show in particular had the crowd singing with me - acappella. The room was full. My heart was full. I need that to get through. To cope. To feel connection and warmth. I thank everyone that came and participated.
